"Visual humor is often my weapon - whimsey, wit, irony, parody, satire or nonsense . With this weapon I sometimes inform, entertain or advocate. My inspiration is drawn from urban domestic experiences. I love doing it. Sometimes I get serious.

I incorporate a wide array of materials and don't feel the need to follow established heirarchies. Part of the challenge is making the familiar strange and the strange familiar. I enjoy using the disregarded and devalued -  old household items - and re-establish their status. That way they become art so that art and the ordinary life become one. I like that."
